Finn Balor is headed for a massive match against Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam on Sunday, August 21. The former NXT champion has never been on a bigger stage since signing with the company, and now he has a chance to prove himself in front of the world.But considering the mixed reaction he received during a faceoff with Rollins on Monday's Raw, there may be reason for concern. Balor must bring everything he has at SummerSlam, and that includes The Demon.Balor is a tremendous breath of fresh air for fans.He's different, he's exciting, and of all the New Era talents on the main roster, he could very well be the most prepared for the spotlight ahead of him. He doesn't need any help to get ready; he's not a work in progress for the company, and he's not an experiment of any kind.Balor has earned this opportunity.He's had 16 years of work to get him to this level. As the Monday Night Wars came to an end, he was just getting started. While WWE went through the Ruthless Aggression Era, the Reality Era and the PG Era, Balor was becoming a main event attraction.The New Era was custom-made for a talent like him, and this is his time.But as good as he is, and as much as he's prepared himself for this chance to shine, Balor still has some work ahead of him. That's because the man he's facing is no pushover and has more charisma than any heel in WWE.Seth Rollins is indeed the man.Rollins is so good, in fact, that he is getting over with fans. At this point, they would love nothing more than to see him turn face again. He's cheered despite what he says, and he's popular despite what he does.Rollins has reached the Roddy Piper level, inasmuch as fans have fun playing along with his act, though they would love to have him on their side. He's just so entertaining, and he can do so much that it's hard for anyone to truly hate him.This is not exactly a good thing for Balor.Balor is already somewhat behind due to his recent Raw debut; he's working in front of fans that aren't accustomed to seeing him every week. Winning on NXT is one thing, but winning against the guy that carried Raw as the top heel is something else altogether.But the boos that Finn heard on Raw must not define him. He's much too good and can get over as the top babyface, possibly the top guy, on Raw; that cannot get lost now. Balor should be the popular one in this match, and he must show up at SummerSlam with as much fan support as possible.Enter The Demon.The Demon is a game-changer for Balor. This is the edge he needs to get over on Rollins with the fans, and it's what he needs to make a major impact on August 21. The Demon is a total transformation for Balor, it's a way for him to go into another mode and explore his darker side.The Demon doesn't care if fans boo him. All he wants is destruction.The reason fans think of The Undertaker when it comes to Balor is because of the mind games. The Demon is just Balor painted in red and black, much like 'Taker is just Mark Calaway playing the part of a supernatural force of nature.But it's the commitment that both men have shown to their characters that is so similar and gets them over with fans.Balor's opponents understand he's just trying to get in their heads, but they're powerless to stop it. He goes to another place with the Demon persona, and he does not come back until after the night has ended. Rollins' character is convinced he will beat Balor, but once he sees The Demon, everything will change.Even Rollins will be rattled, no matter how much he believes otherwise.This is what Balor needs, and it's the absolute best way to truly take the next step toward greatness in WWE. The Universal Championship must be his, and winning it as The Demon is the perfect way to make it happen.It won't be over between Balor and Rollins, and that's OK. This is a feud that could define Balor's WWE career right now, and it's definitely a way to build him up from this point forward. Rollins is the top heel on Monday nights, and he now has the perfect opponent in Balor.
