Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte left Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers due to back discomfort, per Stephen J. In 107games, he's batting .316 with sevenhome runs and 39RBI. According to FanGraphs, his 3.2 WAR is highest on the team among qualified position players.While the Pirates have no shot at winning the NL Central behind the Chicago Cubs, the Pirates currently sit 1.5 games out of the NL's second wild-card spot.The Pirates are also one of the few teams who could lose a player of Marte's caliber and still have a strong outfield. Even with Andrew McCutchen underperforming this year, he and Gregory Polanco can pick up the slack in Marte's absence.Manager Clint Hurdle will likely deputize either Sean Rodriguez or Matt Joyce to fill in for Marte in left field.
