Tribunal lets Russia's Klishina back into Rio Games

Rio de Janeiro (AFP) - The world sports tribunal on Monday overturned a last-minute IAAF ban on longjumper Darya Klishina taking part in the Rio Olympics.The 25-year-old Klishina was the only Russian accepted for the Olympic track and field but was suspended on Friday after new information on her doping record emerged.After a day of hearing, the Court of Arbitration announced in the early hours that Klishina's appeal had succeeded and she "remained eligible to compete in the Olympic Games in Rio."Join the conversation about this story
