She finished third behind Kenya's Hyvin Jepkemoi and Bahrain's Ruth Jebet."Im a little bummed I didnt have a little more in the last lap to get second, but thirdin the world is really incredible," Coburntold NBC's Lewis Johnson (via NBC Olympics'Seth Rubinroit)."Im really happy."In addition to the bronze medal, Coburn broke her own American record for the race.
