Army boss warns against illegal mining in Plateau

Community leaders representing various village districts within Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area in Plateau State on Thursday solicited the vigilance of security personnel in ensuring that tourist locations within their communities are adequately secured in other to boost tourism. The appeal was made when the Commander, Special Task Force (STF), in Plateau State, Major General Nicholas Rogers, visited Kura Falls, a tourist heaven in Barkin-Ladi LGA. The village heads who assembled in Kurra falls to receive the STF Commander, stressed that the incessant clash between farmers and herdsmen has hitherto brought a lot of security pressure in the general area.
