WWE SummerSlam 2016 will be regarded as an era-defining night for the company in more ways than one.There were surprise title victories, some of which have already had amajor impact on the company's short and long-term plans.As well as the good of SummerSlam, there was also plenty of bad, including results which left fans sitting uneasy as well as that dramatic ending.And the good and bad that SummerSlam provided ensured there were plenty of memorable moments as the show finished on Sunday night. Here's a selection of the best.AJ Styles' Clean Victory Against John CenaAlthough the overwhelming suspicion was that AJ Styles would get over the top of John Cena at SummerSlam, when it actually happened, it was one of the standout moments of the whole night.Did it make it better that Styles emerged victorious after a classic contest' Absolutely. It was the match of the night without question, and it helped to elevate The Phenomenal One as a major player in WWE in more ways than one.Victory alone would have been enough for Styles to be considered a future WWE World Championship contender, but the manner of his victory and the energy levels both he and Cena put into the contest made it all the more satisfying.The big question is, where next for Styles' He could realistically go straight into contention as a challenger for Dean Ambrose, but that will no doubt become clearer when SmackDown airs on Tuesday night.The role Cena played in the match from start to finish also shouldn't be overlooked. It helped to truly establish AJ as a big-time player on the blue brandand that won't change for a long while.Finn Balor's Crowning GloryEven though the euphoria only proved to last for 24 hours, seeing Finn Balor ascend to the top of the tree in WWE was a massive plus for SummerSlam.The fact the title match didn't get to headline the pay-per-viewor even go on as Raw's main matchwas a big disappointment, but Balor's triumph was still one of the show's most memorable moments.He and Rollins put on the level of match many expected them to, with Balor's victory all the more incredible given how he injured his shoulder in the opening stages of that match.However, his subsequent injury and relinquishing of the WWE Universal Championship leaves a huge gap at the top end of the Raw card for the company to fill.Doing that will be a tough ask. Balor showed on Sunday night that he could mix it with the very best, and when he held the title above his head, it was a major standout moment. The Finish to Brock Lesnar vs. Randy OrtonIt may not be totally memorable for the right reasons, but the brutal beatdown Brock Lesnar handed out to close SummerSlam cannot be forgottenand will not be for a long time.The way he took to Randy Orton's head in what appeared to be a genuinely legitimate fashion was disturbing as much as it was dramatic, and it left a real sour note over the ending of the show.Was it scripted' Fans will probably never know the answer to that, but what happens with Lesnar from here on out will no doubt give a hint towards whether that was the case.Lesnar and Paul Heyman not being present on Raw gave fans little in the way of clarification, and if he takes another break now, it may never be fully known.The amount of blood shed by Orton may lead The Viper to address the situation on SmackDown on Tuesday, and Shane McMahon will surely have his say after being attacked by Brock too.But whatever happens next, the final moments of SummerSlam will stick painfully in viewers' memories for quite some time.
