Anambra At 25: Obiano To Commission 3 Flyover Bridges At Anniversary (Photos)

Activities marking the twenty five years of the creation of Anambra State will kick off on Friday 26th August, 2016 with His Excellency the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano unveiling the 25 years anniversary icon after which he will address a world press conference at the Governor's Lodge in Amawbia.On Saturday 27th August, 2016, which is the anniversary day proper, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano will also address the state in a radio and television broadcast by 7am. The Governor, thereafter will perform the following official functions:1. Foundation stone laying ceremony of the International Conference Centre in Awka.2. Commissioning of the three new flyovers in Aroma Junction, Kwata Junction.3. Flag off of one million trees planting campaign in the state.4. Foundation laying of the Oxygen Project Plant for the State Teaching Hospital.5. Flag off of the N20million Community project.Other activities lined up for the celebration of the silver jubilee have been spanned to last the next three months with a grand finale in December this year.Ndi Anambra are by this announcement requested to join in the anniversary celebration and also use the occasion to pray fervently for the sustenance of peace and progress of our dear state.Anambra State, light of the nation!Signed.
