Blast at police checkpoint in southeast Turkey; casualties feared

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - An explosion rocked a police checkpoint in the town of Cizre in southeast Turkey on Friday, news channels reported.There were no immediate details on casualties, but ambulances were sent to the scene, according to channel NTV, which showed large plumes of smoke billowing from the site.
