Ondo APC Shifts Primary Election Again But Officials Are Confused By Which Date

Published by Sahara Reporters on Sat, 27 Aug 2016

All Progressives Congress logoThe dysfunction within the Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) took another turn on Friday following the announcement that its gubernatorial primary election would be postponed for the second time.Last week, following intense in-fighting between APC members in the State, it was announced that a date for the primary election would be shifted from August 27th to 31st 2016.It will be recalled that the internal drama in the APC is a consequence of the manipulation of the delegate list and the imposition of a gubernatorial candidate on the party by State Party Chairman Issacs Kekemeke. Mr. Kekemeke was suspended from the party because of involvement with this. However, conflicting statements were issued today from the party's publicists announcing a new, but different, dates for the gubernatorial election. The latest dates were also different from the one announced by the party's national leaders. The party's Director for Media and Publicity, Steve Otaloro, 'confirmed' the new date for the Ondo APC gubernatorial election would now be September 3rd 2016.But, same day, the Ondo APC Publicity Secretary, Omo'ba Abayomi Adesanya also 'confirmed' that the Ondo APC gubernatorial election still stand at August 27th, 2016.SaharaReporters could not confirm a universal and accepted date for the party election at the time of publication. Other party leaders claimed the election might probably hold by September 3rd as gathered from its national leadership. All Progressives Congress logoSaharaReporters MediaElectionsPoliticsNewsAddThis:Original Author:Sahara Reporters, New YorkDisable advertisements:
