Liverpool emerge favourites ahead of Tottenham to sign Ante Coric

Liverpool have emerged favourites to sign Croatian prodigy Ante Coric after Manchester City pulled out of a deal for the youngster. The Citizens had a bid accepted for the midfielder by Dinamo Zagreb but the deal fell through, which has allowed the likes of Liverpool, Tottenhamand Everton to move back in for the player. The Sunday People reports that Coric pulled out of the deal after he learned that City were going to send him on a season long loan after signing him without giving him a chance to compete for first team football.
