Manchester City Transfer News: Latest on Joe Hart and Samir Nasri Rumours

Published by Bleacher Report on Mon, 29 Aug 2016

Torino director Gianluca Petrachi has confirmed the Serie A side are interested in signing Joe Hart from Manchester City.According to Joe Bernstein of the MailOnline, Hart is open to making a move away from the Premier League before Wednesdays transfer deadline, with the England international now seemingly third choice for the goalkeepers spot at the Etihad Stadium.Torino are noted as possible suitors and Petrachi has confirmed there is veracity to the reports, per Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports:New City boss Pep Guardiola has played Willy Caballero in all three of the teams Premier League matches so far. The capture of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona has cast even more doubt over the future of Hart, who looks set to depart the club before the window closes. As noted by Bernstein, Everton were believed to be interested in signing Hart, although Toffees boss Ronald Koeman said last week there was no interest in the England international, per Bernstein. With the rest of the Premier Leagues top dogs seemingly settled when it comes to their main stopper, the 29-year-old finds himself in a testing position. While Harts work with his feet has been noted as the reason for his omission under Guardiola, according toSquawka Football, hes been pretty error-prone recently:That is due in part to Hart's aggressive style of goalkeeping. Indeed, hes been at the base of the City team for both of their Premier League wins, bringing authority and leadership to the defensive structure. With that said, therell surely be no shortage of suitors for the goalkeeper in the final knockings of the window.Torino finished in 12th position in Serie A last term, but theyre a team that will have ambitions to qualify for the UEFA Europa League this season. Still, Hart will surely remain hopeful the chance to join a more illustrious club will materialise before Wednesday night.Samir Nasri Future DiscussedSamir Nasri and Guardiola have both hinted he could yet have a future at the Etihad Stadium despite speculation suggesting he was set to depart the club. The Frenchman was introduced as a substitute during Citys 3-1 win over West Ham United on Sunday and afterwards, Guardiola insisted Nasri is the master of his own destiny.Nasri can stay," said the manager, per ESPN FC. "Samir arrived overweight but after seven days, 10 days, it was fantastic how he trained. His quality is another level. It depends on him. If he wants to help us and stay to be part of something, it depends on him.In addition, the man himself has spoken candidly about his situation with City. There is lots of speculation, some of it is true, some of it is false, he told SFR Sport (h/t Get French Football News). I have never been shown the door or whatever you want to call it. I was just told that it all depended on my desire. So we will sit down and discuss the right way to go forward.According to Paul Hirst and Nicholas Godden of the Times, Nasri is poised to join Besiktas on loan as he is unwanted at the Etihad. However, as noted by BlueMoonRisingTV, the playmaker was very impressive when he featured against the Hammers:Guardiola values players who are versatile, industrious and possess great technical quality. At his best, Nasri excels in all those areas.Of course, therell be serious competition for a place in the City team, especially given the recent form of David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling. Nasris attitude seems to have impressed Guardiola, though, and the player may yet have a part to play in Manchester.
