A triathlete completed an entire race in a suit and on a commuter bike to show triathlons are fun

Rishan Mohideen recently completed a super sprint triathlon in Chicago while wearing a full suit and riding a city commuter bike.The super sprint, which a scaled-down version of longer triathlons, is just under eight miles in length, including a 0.23 mile swim, a 6.2 mile bike ride, and a 1.5 mile run.Mohideen, whoworks forLive Grit, a triathlon store based in Chicago's West Loop, spoke with Business Insider about the experience, noting that he wanted toput a new twist on the ultimate endurance sport.The pictures are certainly something you won't see everyday, so take a look.Lining up for the start took a little while because Mohideen's competitors were hesitant to line up next to him (it's a time trial event, so people start two at a time). Once he did get started, he quickly figured out what the most difficult part of the race was: swimming in a wool suit. Mohideen told Business Insider that it was incredibly hard to get full extension on the swimming strokes.Mohideen explained that the inspiration came from watching regular businessmen and women commuting to work, running and biking in suits, and he says the basic idea was "why don't we turn the professional commuter into the professional athlete'"Mohideen completed the bike portion of the race on a Divvy commuter bikes, a bike-sharing system located in Chicago.
