Arsenal are reportedly refusing to give up on Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann, with Chelsea and Manchester United also keeping an eye on the situation.Meanwhile, the three clubs and Manchester City will all scout Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie against Palermo on Wednesday, with Juventus and Napoli also being linked.According to Tuttomercatoweb (h/t Daily Mirror's Liam Corless), the battle to land Griezmann will be fierce, with some of the Premier League's biggest names determined to bring the France international into the fold.Chelsea and United both have a reputation for frequently paying top transfer fees, seemingly giving the two an advantage over the Gunners, who rely more on talent development and their strong scouting department.Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has splashed the cash on the likes of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in the past, however, and he's said to be very keen on signing Griezmann. The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the best forwards in the world, and Arsenal could use a significant upgrade in the attacking third. The club signed Lucas Perez during the summer, and the Spaniard has flashed his tremendous talent already with a brace against Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup. The former Deportivo La Coruna man is a fine forward, but he's not of the calibre of Griezmann. The Atletico star is part of a small group of world-class forwards, and as shared by Squawka Football, he has started the 2016-17 season in great form:Griezmann has transformed from a solid winger into a devastating striker, and he fits Atletico's system built around two main forwards like a glove. The former Real Sociedad man may not have the physical tools to play as a lone striker, but paired with Kevin Gameiro or Fernando Torres, his movement is almost impossible to follow. He's been with Atletico since 2014 but is expected to move at some point in the near future, with his fate likely depending on manager Diego Simeone. If the latter leaves the club, Griezmann is expected to follow, and as shared by ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan, Simeone only recently fuelled rumours by taking two years off of his current contract:Here's a look at some of Griezmann's highlights:United have been linked with Griezmann more than any other club, and the Red Devils showed their deep pockets during the summer, signing both Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan for big transfer fees. They remain the favourites to land Griezmann, while Chelsea use a similar system as Atletico and will also spend big if they have to.Elsewhere, Calciomercato.comreported the Gunners will be joined by United, Chelsea and City in Bergamo on Wednesday, as the four clubs will scout Atalanta midfielder Kessie. The 19-year-old has been one of the biggest sensations in Serie A this season with four goals in four matches, doing all of his damage from a central-midfield position. Kessie has already confirmed he wants to play in the Premier League, professing his love for United, per RhysTurrellof the Daily Star.As reported by Steve Brownof the Chronicle, he almost moved to Sunderland during the summer but was deemed ineligible for a work permit because he hasn't made enough appearances for Ivory Coast. He's a lock to make the Africa Cup of Nations squad, however, so he should be free to move next year. Here's a look at some of his highlights:Kessie has all of the physical tools to be a great central midfielder, a position he has only been playing for about a yearhe was mostly played at centre-back until Cesena tried him out in midfield during a loan spell. He's incredibly raw but has tremendous upside, and some big club will likely pick him up and loan him straight back out during the next year. If nurtured correctly, Kessie could very well become the next great Ivorian, although fans shouldn't expect him to make an instant impact for a major team.
