This Week In Soccer Biz: Juventus Announces Another Profit But Calciopoli Fallout Still Bites

Juventus has traditionally been regarded as a club that will spend money ' and sometimes lots of it ' to get the players it wants. From 2008 to 2016 Juventus has only reported a net profit on the sale of players once and that was in 2014 when the club turned a profit of $13M.The just completed transfer window also brought a small profit on player sales of $183M and purchases of $182M. The combo amount of $365M included a world record fee paid by Manchester United to Juventus for Paul Pogba and in turn an Italian record fee paid by Juventus to Napoli for Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain.
