Following Demi Lovatos failed attempts to insert herself into Careys long-standing feud with Jennifer Lopez,Miley Cyrus has apparently been passed the anti-Mimi baton, and shes running with it.First, some backstory. NBC somehow convinced the Wrecking Ball singer to be a coach on The Voice this season, and on a recent episode she counseled a contestant by stating the obvious that not everybody can be Mariah Carey. Her point was to encourage the performer to share their story in an authentic way, but the moment was shady enough to be a talking point in Mileys recentcover story for Elle magazines October issue.Ive never really been a fan, because its so much about Mariah Carey. Thats part of her shtick; I can see through that, Cyrus said. Thats part of what makes her a gay icon; like, its about Mimi! Its about what shes wearing, and its about her. What I make isnt about me.
