For the last year, World Wrestling Entertainment has touted a women's revolution it promised would change perceptions of what female talents are capable of between the ropes. Monday night, the company's vision came to fruition, as Sasha Banks challenged Charlotte for the Raw Women's Championship in the main event of the flagship show and, in the process, earned "biggest winner" status for the broadcast. The two women at the heart of an intensely personal feud over the top prize in their division left every ounce of energy and passion they had in the squared circle Monday night as they strived to prove they deserved the opportunity awarded to them. They did not disappoint, delivering a match that may not have always been pretty but was the perfect culmination of months of build.Charlotte broke out a corkscrew moonsault, the first time fans had witnessed that out of the second-generation competitor, but no amount of high-risk maneuvers or cunning on the part of the heel would be enough to earn her a victory. Without Dana Brooke by her side, Charlotte fell prey to her challenger's Bank Statement and had no choice but to tap out.For Banks, the victory was a do-over, the unforgettable moment her first championship victory should have been. She stood triumphantly in the center of the ring, her newly won title in her grasps, the fans cheering her win, and it became apparent: All the hard work and dedication to her craft had manifested itself in the most unforgettable moment of her career. After rising through the ranks of NXT, building a character for herself and connecting with audiences in a way most male Superstars would strive for, she rose to the top of the women's wrestling mountain, the queen of the ring and the new leader of the revolution. On that night, both Banks and Charlotte rewarded the faith of Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and the fans who saw them as more than just pretty faces, fluff to be used between important men's matches. They proved women are strong, determined and can kick ass, too.Girl power is here to stay in WWE, and that is most definitely a good thing. Winners: The New Day, Chris Jericho and Kevin OwensMonday night featured a brilliant midshow promo segment featuring Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens and The New Day that proved there is still room for comedy in professional wrestling when handled the right way.Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods answered the challenge from Jericho and Owens for a match and wasted little time verbally sparring with the heels. The shock and horror on their faces as Y2J added each of them to The List of Jericho was hilarious, as was Woods' rebuttal to an insult levied by Owens.Responding to Owens' claims that The New Day act jumped the shark seven months earlier, Woods asked Owens when the last time he jumped over anything was, a not-so-subtle dig at the WWE universal champion's figure. The ability of the five men involved to hold the attention of the audience throughout a promo that may have run a bit long is a testament to the strength of their characters and the connection they have with the audience.Their match later in the evening was a fine one, too. Loser: Sami ZaynIf there is one Superstar hurt by the brand extension the most, it is Sami Zayn.Weeks before the WWE Draft, he was embroiled in a heated rivalry with Owens that resulted in Match of the Year candidates at two pay-per-view events. Since the draft, though, he has been lost in the shuffle, wandering aimlessly through a Raw roster stacked with too many Superstars for even its absurdly long three-hour run time.Monday, he defeated Titus O'Neil in a meaningless match that did more to introduce a new story for the former Florida Gator than it did to bring any sort of attention to the former NXT champion.Where he goes from here, with no viable opponent readily available, is a mystery that does not bode well for the Montreal native. Winner: Braun StrowmanFans had not yet seen an extended, live promo from Braun Strowman before Monday night. Rather, they have been subjected to the same squash matches for weeks now. That changed Monday night as Byron Saxton joined the former Wyatt Family member for an in-ring promo.Frustrated by the lack of competition, Strowman threatened general manager Mick Foley if things did not improve, going as far as to suggest that next week's show would be compromised by the big man if he did not get what he wants. It was a strong promo in which Strowman never stumbled or looked uncomfortable. He was imposing, which is exactly what he should be.While he may have a long ways to go from an in-ring perspective, he has been making strides. His confidence on the mic will only help management with the decision to push him if and when that time comes. Winner: Emma..lina'Emma's knee injury this past spring was poorly timed, to say the least. She was in the midst of her biggest push to date, with Dana Brooke by her side and in a feud with Becky Lynch, and that suddenly evaporated. Now ready to return to the squared circle, it appears as though she will be undergoing a character makeover as one of the stars of the Raw women's division.Of course, what that will entail is a mystery given the vagueness of the video package that aired during this week's broadcast.Does she just really like bikinis' Is she poised to become a condescending reality TV reject type' Was the attention paid to her figure designed to separate her from the other wrestling-minded women on the roster, creating a unique dichotomy upon her return'These are all questions the red brand's creative team must address in the coming weeks. For now, though, Emma (soon to be rebranded "Emmalina") is a winner if only because the writing staff is paying attention to her and appears to have plans for the Aussie competitor.
