Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Mesut Ozil and Moise Kean

Published by Bleacher Report on Sun, 09 Oct 2016

Former Arsenal star Perry Groves has insisted Mesut Ozil will struggle to get an improved contract at another club after it was reported the German international desires a return to Real Madrid.German paperSport Bild(h/tCharles Perrinof theSunday Express) recently reported the Gunners wizard was ready for a move back to the Spanish giants, but Groves said the mercurial talent should remain in north London.According to Warren Haughtonof theSun, the pundit said both Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will find it difficult to improve their wage terms at other teams:Van Persie, Adebayor, Sagna and Fabregas, Wenger had to sell his best players then to finance the new stadium.Have Arsenal got the money to spend', yes they have. Will they get the 250 grand a week they are looking for' I dont think they will get that. They will see that Arsenal are progressing at the moment, but where are Sanchez and Ozil going to go' If they leave Arsenal are Manchester City or Barcelona going to buy them' I cannot see that happening. PSG maybe they could get a better financial deal there. As reported byMatt Hughesof theTimes(h/tJack de Menezesof The Independent), the duo's demands have been inflated as the result of the Brexit referendum in June, which saw the United Kingdomvote to leave the European Union, causing financial turmoil. Both attackers want 250,000 per week to stay at Arsenal, according to Hughes. De Menzies further elaborated on the obstacles obstructing the latest round of contract discussions. He wrote:When talks originally began last October, the pound was valued at 1.38, while its post-Brexit vote value has reduced to 1.13.The German has eased his way into the new Premier League season, scoring twice in six appearances, perWhoScored.com.In other news, Gunners teenage targetMoise Kean will not be arriving in the Premier League after the Italian agreed a deal to stay at Juventus after passing through their youth academy.Italian newspaperCorriere dello Sport(h/tAlex Harrisof theDaily Star) reported agent Mino Raiola has agreed for the prodigious talent to remain in Turin, despite Arsene Wenger's interest in the player.Raiola recently lauded his young client, per Harris, warning football fans to keep an eye out for him in Serie A."Kean is the name to watch in 2017, and Im not just saying that because Im his agent," he said."He is only 16 years old but has this determination within him that is just scary. He can become a big star at Juventus."Here is the teenager in action:The loss of Ozil would be a sickening blow for Arsenal fans as he remains one of the premier creative players in Europe, despite inconsistent displays on English soil. The Premier League's record TV deal has driven up wages at every club, and domestic and foreign talent will want their share of the financial windfalls.250,000 per week no longer seems a huge wage at the very top of the English game, and if Arsenal wish to retain Ozilif Los Blancos want the midfielderthey will have to give him the pay deal he demands.
