Kelsey Plum Becomes NCAA Women's Basketball's All-Time Leading Scorer

Washington Huskies senior guard Kelsey Plum became the all-time leading scorer in women's college basketball history Saturday by scoring 57 points in an 84-77 win over Utah in Seattle.According to Tim Booth of the Associated Press (via ABC News), Plum now has3,397 career points and surpassed the previous record of3,393 held by former Southwest Missouri State standout Jackie Stiles.As seen in the following video courtesy of Pac-12 Network, Plum set the record by hitting a lefty runner with just over four minutes remaining in the game:She received a huge ovation when she came off the court after making history, as evidenced by this video from Washington Women's Basketball on Twitter:Per ESPN'sKevin Pelton, Plum became the first player in Washington women's or men's basketball history to score 50 or more points in a single game as well.The No. 11 Huskies improved to 27-4 overall and 15-3 in Pac-12 play in what was their final regular-season game of the 2016-17 campaign.They will enter the Pac-12 tournament in March as the second seed behind the No. 10 Oregon State Beavers.
