Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Paulo Dybala and Kylian Mbappe

Published by Bleacher Report on Sat, 01 Apr 2017

Juventus star Paulo Dybala and teenage AS Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe remain on Real Madrid's transfer radar for this summer. However, Los Blancos may find it easier to sign Dybala, with the 18-year-old Mbappe said to be the subject of a bid worth over 100 million from England's Premier League.Sky Sports Spanish football expert Guillem Balague provided details on Real'spursuit of both players:Real have developed conversations with Dybala of Juventus too. They want to convince him not to renew his contract with Juve, while Mbappe is a bit of an impossibility.Someone has offered more than 100m [for Mbappe] and it's not Real Madrid. It's an English club apparently but his representatives are saying it doesn't matter because he wants to stay with Monaco for another year. That's what he says for now anyway.Balaguehas made it clear Real are serious about boosting their options at striker ahead of next season. Specifically, Los Merengues appear determined to get younger up front.Mbappe is just 18, while Dybala is only 23. Both players would offer a brighter future than the 29-year-old Karim Benzema. The France international a target for Arsenal, should the Gunners sell attacking talisman Alexis Sanchez this summer, per TalkSport, citing unnamed reports from Spain.Coincidentally, Benzemaurged Mbappe to stay put in Monaco and continue his development with Monaco during an interview with French broadcaster RMC (h/t Goal's Robin Bairner). In some ways, it makes sense for Benzema to advise Mbappe to remain in Ligue 1.After all, the prolific and rapidly developing 18-year-old would likely replace Benzema as Real's first-choice No. 9. The scenario is all the more likely since Benzema's understudy, Alvaro Morata, is being linked with a move away.Morata is a transfer target for Serie A side AC Milan, according to Premium Sport (h/t Calciomercato.com). The Spain internationalhas even been mooted as a possible makeweight in any deal designed to bring Dybala from Turin to the Santiago Bernabeu.A report from Italian newspaperLeggo (h/t Calciomercato.com) said Morata would be offered to help convince Juve to sell the Argentinian. It would likely still be a tough decision for the Old Lady, though, considering Dybala is one of Juve's best players. The 23-year-old is an intriguing target for Los Blancos. Dybala is less a natural striker and more a roving attacker who has played a variety of positions during his time in Turin. He has operated on both flanks, as well as in a No. 10 role for manager Massimiliano Allegri's team. Dybala has contributed 14 goals and five assists in all competitions this season, per WhoScored.com.It's little wonder Real are so keen, although they should be wary about the competition heating up for Dybala. In particular, bitter rivals Barcelona are also interested, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo (h/t Alex Wood of the Daily Star).Dybala is worth Real outbidding rival suitors for, though. His versatility would allow the club to refresh its attack by maybe putting one of Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale through the middle more often. It seems as though Los Merengues are already shaping their transfer plans for this summer. They appear focused on adding even more quality to an already marquee forward line.
