European stocks are sliding to start the

European stocks are sliding to start the day on Tuesday, with all but one of the continent's major bourses losing ground in the first few minutes of the day. Spain's IBEX 35 is the biggest loser on the day so far, dropping 0.6% as of 8.15 a.m. BST (3.15 a.m. ET), while Germany's DAX has fallen 0.25%, and France's CAC 40 is 0.18% down. Britain's FTSE 100 is the only gainer, although is only 0.03% higher, led by resource stocks such as Randgold Resources and Rio Tinto.
