They're light, breathable, easy to slip on and off because the knit stretches, and best of all, really easy to wash. That last point can't be overstated ' my biggest problem with running shoes is that they are hard to wash and often don't feel the same afterwards. I don't have that problem with my knit ones.When I saw that Cole Haan was moving into the knit-shoe space, I was very interested. These shoes are great for everyday wear, and I could see them doing well as business-travel shoes since they look professional, but are comfortable for walking (or running). I'd bring these as my airplane shoes. I don't think you would want to wear them to a wedding or more formal professional events, but if you work in a business casual industry and want to mix up your footwear, these are really fun shoes.Brandt Ranj, associate commerce editor:For me, Cole Haan's Stitchlite Wingtip Oxfords sit at the perfect place between form and function. They definitely look different than any other shoes I own, and the distinctive woven pattern looks really cool.Their looks would be irrelevant if these shoes were uncomfortable, but thankfully comfort isn't an issue 'in fact, I'd rank these among the most comfortable shoes that I own. There's a literal spring in my step when I wear them, which is something I'm definitely not used to, but something I do enjoy.
