Jay Cutler Reportedly Still Considering Retiring from NFL

Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is still considering retirement as he remains unsigned, per Roman Modrowski of ESPN.com.The Bears released the 33-year-oldin March, and there has been little buzz about teams trying to sign the veteran.The New York Jets were scheduled to meet with Cutler in March but signed JoshMcCowninstead, perAdamSchefterof ESPN.AdamHogeofWGNnoted in March there was a league-wide belief Cutler wouldn't play in 2017, although he added that could change after the NFL draft.Cutler was limited to just five games last season because of injuries, and he struggled mightily when on the field. He finished with four touchdowns and five interceptions, leading to a 1-4 record and a 78.1 quarterback rating.On the other hand, he is just one year removed from a career-high 92.3 quarterback rating in 2015 when he threw for 3,659 yards.He now has a choice to make.
