FCT Police Command Arrest Six Notorious Criminals

Following the recent warning by the FCT Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo to criminal elements in Abuja to desist or face hard times, the police said it has arrested six criminals within a couple of days.A statement signed by the public relations officer, FCT Police command, DSP Anjuguri J. Manzah and made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday said that the police attached to Gwarinpa had on April 10, 2017 responded to a distress call and arrested one Nyam Philips (24) and Isaac Kakaan (23).The statement said that the police also recovered one locally made pistol, one live ammunition, a hammer and other dangerous weapons and stated further that the commands special anti-robbery squad, acting on a tip off, also arrested Mohammed Sani (24) and his cohort Nafiu Bala both of Adamawa State, whose gang specializes in stealing of parked cars.Manzah explained that the duo were arrested in their hideout at One-man village Mararaba and recovered Custom Toyota Camry with registration number, EU933 ABC.Also recovered, according to the statement are Custom Toyota Camry with registration number, YAB 661 EW and Custom Toyota Camry with registration number, BL 726 RSH, all pencil light.He further disclosed that the team acting on intelligence busted a notorious syndicate that specialises in breaking into parked cars to steal cash and other valuables.The suspected members of the syndicate, according to statement, include, Nnadi Nzecha, Chukwuma Ale, IK Ugwuake and Kumbor Isaac, adding that the following items were recovered, one Honda EOD with registration number, BWR 234 LN, one Toyota Avalon with registration number KRD 827 DB, one Ford Focus with registration number, AKD 925 DJ, and one Toyota Sienna with registration number, RSH 913 MW.Other items include one fabricated master key, 21 filler, one GPS car tracker, electronics and others.While thanking FCT residents for their support in the fight against crime, the statement also advises residents to be security conscious and guard against keeping cash, laptops and other valuables in their carsThe statement further urged residents to stop inviting unverified tradespersons (electricians, plumber, etc), who lurk around the streets, into their homes to carryout repair.
