Ethiopian Airlines Lands Airbus 8350 In Abuja Today

Ethiopian Airlines says it is landing a brand new Airbus 8350 aircraft at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja today to mark the reopening of the airport slated for tomorrow, April 19.The Airlines Traffic and Sales Manager, Firiehiwot Mekonnen, who disclosed this yesterday, said the aircraft was going to land in Abuja in its first day of operation from Addis Ababa, adding that henceforth the aircraft would remain on Abuja route.She disclosed that this would mark the first time an airbus aircraft would land in Abuja.Mekonnen stated that the decision to celebrate the inaugural flight to Abuja was because of the airlines commitment to the Nigerian market.According to her, the 313 passengers capacity aircraft is expected to land at 11:15 am being the first aircraft to land at the newly rehabilitated Abuja runway.The Ethiopians brand new Airbus 8350 is landing in Abuja airport today as the first aircraft to land on the newly rehabilitated runway and first airbus to land in Abuja.From now on, we are going to operate airbus on Abuja route, she said.Recall that after the Abuja airport closed on March 8, Ethiopian airlines was the first to land its brand new Boeing 787 at Kaduna International Airport same day.
