European markets are largely on the fron

European markets are largely on the front foot in early trading on Tuesday as investors on the continent return from the Easter break. Around 8.10 a.m. BST (3.10 a.m. ET) all major bourses but the UK's FTSE 100 are higher, with Germany's DAX leading the way, with a gain of roughly 0.4% from the previous close. Elsewhere, France's CAC 40 is 0.14% up, while Italy's FTSE MIB has climbed 0.24%. The FTSE 100 has lost 0.35%, dragged lower by commodity firms which are reacting to a slump in the price of major industrial metals over the long weekend.Join the conversation about this story
