J.J. Watt Says Brother T.J. Is 'A Lot Better Player' Than He Was at Wisconsin

Published by Bleacher Report on Wed, 19 Apr 2017

T.J. Watt's draft stock has been trending in a positive direction for weeks now, and his brother, J.J., heaped some serious praise on the potential first-round pick Tuesday to help boost his profile even more."He's so similar to me, but he's farther along than I was at that point in the process," the Houston Texans edge-rusher said, per the Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson. "He's a lot better player than I was at that time. He has a lot more to grow even than I had. I think he's a really special player, and it's been a lot of fun to watch him go through the process."T.J. flew under the radar with the Badgers for a bit as he transitioned from tight end to edge-rusher, but he found his footing as a junior.During the 2016 season, heracked up11.5 sacks, 15.5 tackles for loss, 63 total tackles and one interception returned for a touchdown. Thanks to that production and his bloodline, T.J. has emerged as one of the more intriguing pass-rushers in this year's draft class.According to Bleacher Report'sMatt Miller, Watt ranks No. 7 overall among edge-rushers because he's "explosive off the snap and plays with the power and motor you want in a defender.""He's so hungry," J.J. said, per Wilson. "He's just itching to learn and grow as a person and as a player, so he is always asking questions, he's always wanting to compete in the workouts."In his latesttwo-round mock draft, Miller projected Watt to land with the Green Bay Packers at pick No. 29.For more news, rumors and related stories about T.J.
