Nigeria hits N285.8bn PoS deals in Q1

as active terminals drop by 19% Over N285.8 billion transactions were executed by cardholders in Nigeria in the first quarter of this year, representing more than 100 per cent year-on-year growth, according to New Telegraph's findings. The transaction values were N91.2 billion; N90.2 billion and N104.48 billion in January, February and March respectively. The development came despite noticeable decline in the number of deployed Point of Sales (PoS), indicating more transactions are being carried out by Nigerians.
