Stocks across Europe had a quiet day on Wednesday as investors await any news from the European Central Bank when its governing council holds its April meeting on Thursday. No major index moved more than 0.25% on the day, with Spain's IBEX the biggest mover, losing 0.22%. Elsewhere, Germany's DAX picked up a gain of 0.04%, while Britain's FTSE 100 and France's CAC gained 0.18% each.
