Armed police have arrested a man on Whitehall for possession of weapons

London police say they have arrested a man for possession of weapons near the Houses of Parliament, the AP reports.Police officers and some people in forensic suits are present.Police say there are no reported injuries.A Guido Fawkes reporter,Ross Kempsell, is present at the scene and has shared a picture on Twitter showing one or more knives lying on the ground next to a rucksack.The incident is reportedly unfolding outside theDepartment for Culture Media & Sport and theRevenue and Customs building on Whitehall.A police operation is ongoing and streets around thescene have been shut off.The incident comes just over a month after a man ploughed a car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge next to parliament.
