CVR: INEC registers 57, 737 persons, issues 4, 913 PVCs

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said a total of 57,737 persons were registered in the first three days in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise. The commission also disclosed that 4,913 others collected their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) while 1,820 persons applied for transfer of their previous polling units (PUs). INEC, in a statement yesterday after the weekly meeting of its management staff, further stated that 1,117 persons applied for replacement of their lost or damaged PVCs within the same period.
