The idea of armpit hair is seen by many as unclean when left to overgrow.However, after many years of observation, it's been discovered that opinion on growing of armpit hair varies with gender difference.What do I mean'That is, when a guy grows his armpit, chest or leg hair, everyone sees it as normal and with some ladies who like to see hair on their men, the idea is simply "hot".But with the female folk, this isn't true as women who'd left either their armpit, chest or leg hair to grow have been touted as "dirty" by the public, much more worse when she's a celebrity.Julia Roberts was said to have started the whole female armpit hair thing. The mum of three attended the 1999 London premiere of romcom Notting Hillwith hairy armpit that she forgot to shave.Astonishingly, experts pointed out the hairy look was once at the cutting edge of womens style until things changed nearly a century agoBritney Spears had a red-faced moment of her own at the 31st Annual American Music Awards.Looking absolutely stunning in a glittery cream dress, all eyes were swept up to under her arm as soon as she lifted it to laugh.Beyonce also had her share of the red-face at a film premiere in 2008. Obviously unaware of the situation, as her hubby, Jay Z clung proudly to her arm, she waved to her fans who were horrified at the sight at the opening of Cadillac Records.One onlooker in Manhattan said: "Beyonce always looks her best at these kind of events."She obviously either ran out of razors or just 'missed a bit' in the bathroom."Drew Barrymore was spotted down Lexington Avenue in New York with a whole lot of fuzz on show.Her low-cut black dress did nothing to save the situation unfortunately.And fellow actress Hilary Swank didn't have a whole lot of luck hiding her jungle in 2010 either.The star was pictured before ELLEs 17th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute - and she looked absolutely clueless about her situation.While the situation seemed to have embarrassed and taken some unaware, others like Madge have become rebellious. Madge took a picture of her right underarm on Instagram and said her hair is an artistic statement.She captioned the picture of her wearing a sexy black bra and brazenly showing off her armpit: "Long hair...... Don't Care!!!!!! #artforfreedom #rebelheart #revolutionoflove."Another big one is Modonna who also recently did hers consciously when she posted her hairy armpit photo on Instagram.Fergie the Black Eyed Peas front woman peed herself on stage during a concert in San Diego and then, she showed off her long hairy-hairy underarms.Nigerians have actually not put much attention to whether their female celebrities shave their armpit hair or not but few have been caught on camera in the past.Ini Edo has few strands of facial and chest hair which she'd forgotten to shave before getting on set. In the past, can't say about now, there were few of her movies where she had those hair on.Then Mercy Johnson is hairy on the legs and has always left them unshaved in her movies. She also has a bit of hair on her face in few movies.
