African Muzik Magazine Awards out with 2018 nominees

AS the 5th edition Texas-based African Music Awards (AFRIMMA) inches close, organisers have announced nominees for the different categories of the show, now branded AFRIMMA Awards and Music Festival.The list reflects a would-be keen competition among African musical heavyweights like Davido, Wizkid, Fally Ipupa, Diamond Platinum, Ali Kiba, Khaligraph Jones , Mr Eazi, J Hus, and Hiro who have all earned nominations for their brilliant performances in the year under review.While fresh talents like Ghanas Kwame Eugene, Kenyas Arrowboy, Ugandas Ykee Benda, South Africas Tresor among others have also earned their first AFRIMMA Awards & Music Festival nomination, the awards show has decided to add another category to the list this year, called AFRIMMA Achievers Award. This category, according to the Founder/CEO Anderson Obiagwu, would be celebrating the feats of African stars in the fields of entertainment and sports.According to him, Over the past one year, African music stars from around the over 52 countries in the continent have put out beautifulmusical works and the board of AFRIMMA, after a thorough and excruciating screening process, has come up with these nominees.Obiagwu who urged fans to vote their favourite artistes on www.afrimma.com, revealed that AFRIMMA 2018 Awards & Music Festival would be taking place at the prestigious House of Blues, Dallas, Texas on October 7th, 2018 and it promises to be another thrilling edition and probably the best so far.
