NCRIB Ibadan chapter inaugurates new executive

The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), Ibadan chapter, during the weekend, announced new set of executives for the association.The National President of NCRIB, Mr Ayodapo Shoberu, while decorating the new chairman of Ibadan chapter, Prince Adeyemo Adereni, at the Investure in Ibadan, congratulated the outgoing chairman, Mr Ayo Oladokun on the success of his tenure of office, while challenging the new executive to move the chapter to a greater height, adding that the executive members should be more involved with the national secretariat as the association would go leaps and bounds with collective efforts of all chapters.He implored the executives to facilitate moves within government and private bodies that would promote insurance in the country, noting that all acts are allowed in as much as it promotes the Insurance industry as well as the association. 'It is not out of place to lobby the house of assembly to propagate laws that would positively affect the association,' he said. Mr Adereni, in his acceptance speech promised to change the face of the council at the chapter level by contributing his quota to the development of the Insurance industry; changing the attitude and negative perspective of the public towards the industry and deepening the market penetration of insurance in the society.Mr Adeyemo, who saw his inauguration as a big challenge, noted that his regime would bring paradigm shift in the ways and approaches towards carrying out projects and initiatives in the association, adding that with the support of the members of executive and the entire members of the association, his five-point agenda would be achieved.According to him, the five-point agenda are: human capacity development; members welfare; effective communication with the members; effective collaboration with relevant professional bodies and government agencies and promoting professionalism within the confine of relevant laws.Earlier in his valedictory speech, the outgoing chairman, NCRIB, Ibadan chapter, Ayo Oladokun thanked the National President and his executive for their support and contribution towards the achievements recorded during his tenure of office, adding that the most important achievement was the peace and unity that reigned supreme.'God did not allow us to suffer rancor, misunderstanding and disintegration. This peace and unity that we enjoyed enabled us to hold our monthly meeting regular,' he said.He, however, enjoined the incoming executive to find solutions to the challenges facing the Ibadan chapter of the association while continuing with the projects past executives embarked on.
