When The Dead Attends His Burial 'Alive': New Burial Trend

Published by Daily Times on Wed, 28 May 2014

Imagine the dead present at his burial ceremony looking 'alive' and like he's taking a nap, standing in a boxing ring or popped on a motorbike instead of looking all laid up and scary inside his coffin!Yes, it's possible!Although it's not something just starting however, it's becoming a trend these days. This new awareness could be traced to the fact that humans are now getting used to losing their loved ones, constantly seeing dead relatives and no longer scared to see their dead ones on like in the olden days when death and dead bodies could scare the hell out of you.Now you can have your dead loved ones looking good either standing, propped up on motorcycle or sitting, pretty much like they are at their own burial- most times, such burial arrangements were requested for by the deceased before their death. For instance, a recently deceased 80-year-old Puerto Rican woman attended her own wake Monday, May 26, just as she had stipulated while she was still alive. The body of Georgina Chervony Lloren took center stage at the ceremony at the Marin Funeral Home in San Juan.Georgina appeared propped up in her favorite red-cushioned rocking chair and she was dressed in the gown from her second marriage 32 years ago.She had also asked to be surrounded by plants and flowers. Her daughter, Miriam Chervony, told Mail Online that late mother specified that this was how she imagined her wake.Georgina had died on Sunday from natural causes. This initiative is the brain work of Marin Funeral Home who terms it the "knock-out punch", a way of beating other funeral homes to their games by taking customers requests into play.
