Lanlehin commended over community projects

AS the nation celebrates three years democracy in the current dispensation, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin representing Oyo South senatorial district in the Senate has continued to receive accolades from constituents, who have described him as an ideal politician and a friend of the masses.Residents of Kudeti, Molete, Bode, Odo-Oba, Osungbade, under the auspices of Ifelodun-Osungbade Landlords Association, in a statement signed by the chairman, Alhaji Oremeji Fasasi, said that Lanlehin had made history with his numerous projects since he was elected into the Senate in 2011.'In each of Yejide Girls' Grammar School and Ibadan Grammar School, both in Ibadan South East Local Goverment Area, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin constructed a block of three classrooms with VIP toilet as part of his intervention in the education sector and these cannot go unappreciated.'He has also constructed 12 solar-powered boreholes and numerous hand water pumps in different communities, which include: Kudeti, Felele, Ita-Ege, Kobomoje, Adeyemo Layout, Elekuro, Osungbade and Orita-Aperin, to ease the problem of perennial water scarcity which the residents had contended with,' the statement said.Similarly, the people of Surulere, Ifelodun and Madandola communities of Iwo Road in Ibadan North East Local Government Area have expressed appreciation to the lawmaker over the donation of a 500KVA power transformer to boost electricity supply in the area.The Chairman of the Residents' Association of the named communities, Alhaji S.O. Amole and the Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Hammed Yussuf, in a statement, described Lanlehin's gesture as timely and worthy of commendation.Other communities in Ibadan North East Local Government Area which have also received solar-powered boreholes from Senator Lanlehin include Agugu, Aremo-Ajibola, Oke-Adu, Ogbori-Efon and Holy Trinity.
