Boko Haram: Equatorial Guinea, Sao-Tome back Nigeria

ENVOYS of Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome and Pincipe have pledged the support of their countries for Nigeria's fight against terrorism.The envoys, who held separate meetings with Senate President, David Mark, at the weekend, said their countries would do 'all that is necessary' to join Nigeria in putting an end to terrorism.The envoys, Job Obiang Esono Mbengono of Equitorial Guinea and Antonio Correia of Sao Tome and Principe, had separate audience with Senator Mark, where they said their countries were worried about the developments in Nigeria and were ready to enlist in the battle against terrorism.Mbengono of Equitorial Guineea said his government sympathised with Nigeria on the unabating terrorism claiming lives and property and assured that 'we are ready to collaborate with Nigeria to defeat the terrorists.'In his remarks, Correia said his country was in solidarity with Nigeria in the battle against terrorism, even as he pleaded with the abductors of Chibok schoolgirls to release them.Senator Mark, in his response, thanked the visiting envoys for the solidarity with the government and people of Nigeria, adding that 'we as a people are traumatised with the situation and we are doing everything humanly possible to rescue our girls.
