(continued from last week)Whereas the prophet (P.B.U.H) said 'Think good of the faithful ones' Likewise you cannot determine when to start or end fasting before the expiration of shaaban or Ramadan by calculation, speculation, forecasting or soothsaying for all these are myths not realities which are liable to errors and has no place in shariah.'Alhamdulillah', I was able to meet the respectable chief Imam of Ibadan, Alhaji Busoiru Shuarah at his residence at Agbeni Ibadan where he reasoned with me on this issue and invited me to the annual meeting of 'Robitotul Aimma Wal Ulamai Biladi Yoruba' (The League of Imams and Alfas of the Yoruba land) along University of Ibadan to Bodija road where I submitted an article on this matter, dated 10th Shaabon 1424 equivalent to the 6th of October 2004 under the chairmanship of SheikhHabib Adam Ilori of Agege, Lagos state.You can contact that article from them or any of the Friday congregational mosque of Jamaatu Izalatil, Bidah Walqamatis sunnah national headquarter Jos, at Bodija, Ojoo, sasa all in Ibadan Oyo State or elsewhere nationwide or preferably the educative book of 'IRSHADUL MUSTARSHID'written by sheikh Sani Yahya Jingir, the national chairman of the council of Ulamau of Jamaatu Izalatil Bidah Wa Iqamatis-Sunnah (J.B.W.I.S) at jos, the society's national headquarters and the successor of its founder, Sheikh Ismaila Idris Zakariyyah (2000 may he rest in perfect peace) amen.Notwithstanding, it should be categorically noted that the previous deliberations is specifically on Ramadan fasting and its annual festival but as far as 'EIDUL ADHA'(The annual immolation festival) is concerned all the entire world should depend on the sight of crescent of the Makkah's authority at Saudi Arabia for the inter-relationship of the rituals of the pilgrims and non-pilgrims for the immolation of the livestock trace back to the same source in commemoration of prophet Ibrahim (P.B.U.H) and his son Ismail (P.B.U.H) who was emancipated with a ram in lieu of his life, which falls on the tenth day of Zul- Hijja which has to be preceded by halting on the mount of Arafa on the 9th of Zul-hijja.Arafa is only one worldwide based at Makka in which the prophet encourages the non-pilgrims to fast while the pilgrims concurrently are not to fast but eat and drink so that they can have the vigour of Halting.Abu Qatada (R.A) narrated that, 'the prophet (P.B.U.H) was asked about the fasting the day of arafah' He said (P.B.U.H) its atone yesterday and the remaining (sins)' Reported by Muslim, it similitude is mentioned in Riyadus-Solihin and Nai lul Author Volume four.The day of Arafah can only be determined at where the Arafah is, that is Makka. Beside that Imam Rahuni in His commentary of Zarqani of Mukhtasar Khalil, Volume two said the chapter of every country should use her own sight'...
