had contributed in no small measure to the effort of the command to reduce road crashes to the barest minimum.Salami said that the corps member having observed that most traffic crashes in the state were products of people's refusal to obey traffic rules and regulations and thus muted the idea to construct the display.He said that majority of the road traffic crashes recorded across the country were caused by human errors or failing, which he said could be avoided.'Since it has a great negative influence on human life, it is important for modern society to find how to decrease the number of road traffic crashes as it is to cure diseases.'It is obvious fact that rules and cautions being displayed by the design will go a long way to register on the sub-conscious minds of the road users being coerced,' Salami said.The digital device displayed such important road safety tips as; 'Fasten Your Seat Belt'; 'Don't drink and drive'; 'Check your tyre pressure'; 'Don't overload your car'.Also speaking with newsmen, the corps member said that he was motivated by the attitude of most drivers, saying most of the road users do not user their seat belt until when they see the law enforcement agents on the road.'So, I think by constructing this device, it will repeatedly remind the road users of the simple rules and regulations they are expected to obey to stay alive in their own interest,'' he said.
