Aregbesola tasks varsities, others on awards

OSUN State Governor Rauf Aregbesola has urged academic institutions and corporate organisations to base their merit award on the positive contributions of the beneficiaries to the development of the society.He said his call became more imperative in view of alleged past abuse of honorary awards in the country.Aregbesola made the call in a congratulatory message to some eminent Nigerians honoured over the weekend by the Fountain University, Osogbo. Those honoured included the national leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and former governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
