Benue labour leader tasks FG on security

The Chairman ofthe NigeriaLabour Congress in Benue State, Comrade Simon Anchever has tasked the Federal government to take the issue of security very serious and implored Nigerians to be security conscious in their day to day activities.Comrade Anchever stated this during an interview with newsmen in Abuja recently and urged the security agencies to do more of intelligence work in efforts to put an end to the blasts which is giving the country bad image.He noted that recent terror attacks which is becoming rampant in the country was alien to the country and called on the security operatives not to relent in efforts to unravel those behind It, to ensure safety of lives and property in the country.Comrade Simon Anchever who is also the National Vice President of the Agricultural and Allied Employees' Union, noted that no meaningful development could take place in an unsafe environment.'Prospective investors willing to invest in all sectors of the economy, including that of Agriculture are being scared because of fear of insecurity to their lives and investments.' Comrade Anchever explained.While describing the recent suicide attack on the United Nations building in Abuja as an attack on the international community, the Labour leader called on Nigerians to bear with the recent security measures in the country, adding that it was aimed at ensuring adequate security.
