Oyo gov's health programme lauded

OYO State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has been commended for toeing the path of Chief Obafemi Awolowo by bringing health to the doorstep of the peopleThe Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Oyo East Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mr. Tiamiyu Taiwo Kasim, made the commendation while addressing the people who came out en masse for the state free health programme at Ode-Aremo, in Oyo township recently.According to the local government boss, governor Ajimobi had been able to fulfil one of the cardinal programmes promised by the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) during his campaign.The council boss also said that the large turn-out of the people at the free health programme was an indication that the people were in need of adequate health care.The programme which attracted more than 5,000 patients from various communities across the local government area was attended by medical experts of various branches.It will be recalled that Oyo State government had embarked on mobile health care delivery in all the local government areas across the state, and this, according to the local government chairman, will last for four years.
