Firm unveils product, slashes price

WEST Alive Foods has introduced into the Nigerian market a cereal food, Natural Fruity Muesli Instant Cereal, for quicker meal and tackling of observed nutritional shortfalls associated with similar products that had long been in circulation.The product, which comes under the company's Alpha Master's Breakfast stable, is a brain child of a lengthy research and can be gotten from supermarkets and major shops at affordable rate.At the launch of the product, recently in Lagos, the company's Managing Director, Mr. Ukuoha Afam, said that the new offering was ripe in quality, quantity and pricing, adding that the raison level had been thoroughly checked and different rich fruits like apple, mango adequately added in the product.He noted that the cereal, unlike others in the market, could be taken without sugar, all through the day and comes in a 750-gramme pack at a very affordable rate of between N950 and N970.According to Ukuoha, 'the product is meant for everybody. It has been widely accepted in the market. The sugar level is well regulated. Compare to what is in the market presently. It (product) is affordable. What we have in the market is from N1, 000 to N1, 200, but the bigger model, a 750-gramme pack, costs less than N1, 000. You can get it between N950 and N970. You can never get such quantity and quality in that range from any manufacturer.'Also speaking, the General Manager, Chidinma Orie, while corroborating the product's acceptability by consumers, said that the offering was indeed rich in apple, banana with a very strict quality control observed.Asked how the firm intended to achieve its goal of acquiring a greater market share within a couple of months in view of other known and established brands in the market, she said: 'We are going to be on TV and on the people's face. We have able distributors that are going to take the production from one place to the other. We have able team to do this,' adding that more offerings were on the way and quality wouldn't be compromised.
