300 outgoing corpers receive entrepreneurial training

NO fewer than 300outgoing Batch 'C'members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in Ife zone of Osun state were given entrepreneurial training organised by Ife Business School (IBS).Speaking at the one-day free empowerment seminar on "Managerial Skills Development for Young Graduates at IBS, Dr Ademakinwa Adereti said that the seminar was organised to equip the corps members for challenge of been self employment after their serving year.According to him, "the free training was one of the corporate responsibilities of the school.'He added that "it is to empower the corps members to continue to contribute their quota to the economy of the country."As they are passing out of service, instead of searching for Jobs, which are not available and they may not have money to acquire more skills, Ife Business School is providing them with skill aimed at nurturing individuals who are professionally competent, creative and enterprising who will act as positive agents of change in service to the society.'He explained that the school was aimed at producing world class leaders who would be able to operate in the multicultural business world, adding that it would enhance business performance, competitiveness and productivity regionally, nationally and internationally.Also speaking t the seminar, the state coordinator of NYSC, Mr Henry Enyenihi, expressed the gratitude of the national directorate of the scheme to the school for organising the free seminar saying that it would assist the corps members to be self employed after the service.Mr Enyenihi appealed to the corps members to make use of the managerial skills acquired during the seminar to create employment and become employers of labour instead of searching for Jobs which are not available.By Tunde Oyekola
