Yewa-Awori tasked on unity, support for Ogun gov

The people of OgunWest have been advised to give their support to Governor Ibikunle Amosun in his quest to rebuild Ogun State..This appeal was given when members of the Yewa-Awori Concerned Professionals (YACP) paid a courtesy visit to the Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Ayo Olubori in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta recently.Olubori said that Yewa-Awori people cannot afford to lose the interest Governor Amosun has for the area, saying as a senator, he contributed to the developmental programmes of the areaHe called for unity among Yewa-Awori leaders, adding that they should also embrace the young leaders for the advancement of the area.The commissioner appealed to the people of Ogun West to be more involved in agriculture which is their major occupation, promising them government's support.'During his campaign, Governor Amosun promised to embark on the development of infrastructure that will touch the lives of individuals, such projects like good roads, education, health, agriculture and housing' and assured the people of Ogun State that the governor would make good his promise.Speaking in the same vein, the Special Adviser to the Ogun State governor on General Services, Mr Bayo Adeyemi, said that Ogun State was going to witness a total infrastructural development, saying Senator Amosun was poised to rebuild the state.Adeyemi said this to members of YACP who on the same day also paid him a courtesy visit in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.He noted that the government of Amosun would anytime from now start to give employment to 10,000 youths, with a view to reducing the unemployment rate in the state.Adeyemi, however, enjoined the youth to avail themselves of this opportunity by being honest and transparent in whatever area they were absorbed.He tasked members of YACP to create a database of 'who is who' in Ogun West that would help the state government whenever there was space(s) to fill in the state.Olubori and Adeyemi however commended members of YACP for their efforts towards uniting the people of Ogun West with a view to developing the community.Earlier in his speech, the national President of YACP, Mr Biodun Akinde disclosed that they were at the offices of the two top government officials to intimate them with the group's mission and their readiness to offer assistance that would enhance the success of the administration of Governor Amosun.The YACP entourage included, Mr. Biodun Akinde, Chief Adesina Babatunde, Mr Akinyele Balogun, Otunba Kazeem Owonla, Elhadj Abu-Satar Idowu Hamed and Comrade Olayinka Akinsanya.
