Guinea plays hide and seek ' 'so hot on the Wings' 'Siasia alerts Eagles

Published by Tribune on Wed, 05 Oct 2011

AS part of strategies to ensure the needed victory over the Syli National of Guinea in Saturday's 2012 Nations Cup qualifer, Super Eagles players will watch the videos of recent outings of the Guineans.According to information, Eagles chief coach Samson Siasia has been able to lay his hands on the videos of the Giuneans and has taken time to study their style of play.It was gethered that the Nigerian head coach, not willing to leave anything in order chances to secure the much desired win on Saturday has been taking a cursory look at Guineans and has already identified their strongest points.Having watched the videos, Siasia concluded that the most dangerous point of the Guineans is their left wing."I don't know so much about them (the Guineans),but I've been able to see a little of them from their videos. I have noticed that their left wing is most potent."So we will be looking at bringing in a very fast and technical right-back since Chibuzor (Okonkwo) is doubtful for now,'' said Siasia who is expected to watch the videos with his players as part of his plans ahead of the decisive encounter.Meanwhile,THE Guinean contingent to the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria this weekend in Abuja have yet to communicate their travelling plans to the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF).This, Tribunesports gathered, is part of Guinea's plans to take Nigeria by surprise before the decisive clash in Abuja on Saturday.Already, Guinea is not taking chances on the match as the Syli National is coming to Nigeria with their own foodstuffs and chefs to make the contingent feel at home.Meanwhile, the NFF insists it is ready to make the Guineans comfortable anytime they decide to arrive the country.''Officials of Guinea are yet to respond to several inquiries by the Nigeria Football Federation on the contingent's day and time of arrival,'' said a statement from NFF. However, Guinea will stay at Hotel de Bently, Utako, Abuja.
