Why we are sponsoring NCUK/ CANUK tourism carnival, London

The management of Arik Airline(International) has said that it would continued to sponsor and give full support to any programme or activities capable of boosting the image and correcting the negative perception of Nigeria in the eyes of the world.Mr Adrian Richard made this assurance during a press conference addressed by the wife of Nigerian High Commissioner to Great Britain, Mrs Sariyu Dahalatu,on the preparation for the first tourism carnival being organised by the Nigeria Carnival UK/Central Association of Nigerians in UK (NCUK/CANUK).He pointed out that Arik Airline is a culturally responsible company which is out not only to offer first class services to Nigerians in particular and the citizens of the world in general, but to protect, promote and project the intrinsic cultural and social values of Nigerian as a nation.'He said what Arik Airline set out to do in Nigeria and for Nigerians was beyond the concept of profit makingMr Adrian disclosed that 'Yes, as a company, we are not a Father Christmas or a non-governmental Organisation set out for free and non- profit services, but as much as we are to make profit, we cannot sleep off and neglect the interest of the same people who form the majority of our clients.'As a socially responsible international concern rooted in Nigeria, it will be totally appropriate for us to support any project or programme that will not only add value to the image of the country but to those event and acts that will enhance its socio'economic and cultural development, Mr Adrian said, adding that Arik would be ready to also support and finance other programmes of CANUK that would be perfected after the carnival.'Arik is not limiting its sponsorship of CANUK. programme to this carnival. We shall continue to spread our hands of fellowship and cooperation to CANUK after this carnival, to prove to the whole world that Nigerians are really good people, with rich histories and a prosperous future.Mr Adrian commended Nigerians for their patronage of Arik Airline, adding that 'Arik is set to offer the best of air services to the people of the world.'We have great respect for the people whose continuous patronage has been our source of fulfillment.'He added that 'Arik has set a benchmark in excellent service and it will not negotiate that for gold. I am assuring you of the best air service.
