Ibadan youths hold health talk on cholera

In a bid to prevent anoutbreak of choleraepidemic in Sango area of Ibadan, youths under the agies of Sango Youth Forum (SYF) last Monday, held a health talk sensitising the people of the community to the need to prevent cholera in the area.The programme which was held at the Health Centre besides Akorede Mosque in Sango, had in attendance medical practitioners from Ibadan North Local Government.Speaking on the ocassion, the guest speakers which included Dr Kehinde Fakayode, Mr Yinka Omilani, and Miss Yemisi Odunifa, harped on the need for an hygenic environment and proper sanitisation.The youth also used the occasion to show the health workers dirty areas in the community and urged the government to take a decicive action in clearing the place to avoid the epiemic.Also, another speaker, Mr Aderinto Niyi, tasked health workers in the state to be alive to their responsibilities by moving from one house to the other in discharge of their responsibilities.They, however, assured the government of their support in making sure that Sango community and its enviroment remain tidy.
