Visa stops Guinea coach

GUINEA coach, Michel Dussuyer will not be on the bench tomorrow. A top official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said Frenchman Dussuyer was not granted visa by the Nigerian embassy in Paris, France, where the team trained before they set out for Nigeria yesterday.'He did not get an entry visa to Nigeria and since he does not have a Guinean passport that would have allowed him come in without a visa, it will be impossible for him to be part of the team on Saturday,' the official disclosed.This is a big setback for the Syli Stars as 52-year-old Dussuyer is widely credited with the revival of the fortunes of Guinea in the last one year.Group B leaders Guinea with 13 points after five matches need to avoid defeat to qualify for the Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea in January.This will be his second stint in Guinea as he was first in charge of the West African team between 2002 and 2004.The former AS Cannes of France coach was also in charge of Benin at last year's Nations Cup in Angola.The Eagles defeated Benin at the tournament 1-0 courtesy of a first-half penalty strike by Yakubu Aiyegbeni in a group game in Benguela.
