MVP to get TomTom's $3,000

THE most valuable player (MVP) in tomorrow's crucial Gabon/Equatorial Guinea 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier will smile home with $3,000 (N475,000) courtesy of the official candy of the national teams, TomTom.Officials of TomTom have also revealed that the candy was re-introducing the Shot-on-Target award, which would give the Super Eagles $500 (about N80,000) for every shot on target during the game.According to the Senior Manager (Medicated Candies), Cadbury Nigeria Plc, Bimbo Alabi, TomTom will always go all out to motivate the Super Eagles and all other national football teams to deliver soothing results to the teeming Nigerian football supporters.'TomTom, the official candy of the national teams, is giving an incentive that will promote competition among the squad members and ultimately deliver the result that would make the much desired qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations possible,' she said.Over the years, TomTom has rallied behind the various national teams in several ways, including motivating the fans to cheer the teams and the TomTom Shot-on-Target initiative, which spurs the squads to score goal after goal.TomTom also sponsored the Best Photojournalist Award, which overall winner got a brand new laptop, while the first runner-up received a Cam Coder and the third a digital camera. Consolation prizes of 50 branded football tables were also on offer.
