New York Times to charge for web news...again

American newspaper The New York Times will begin to charge for access to some of its digital content as it tries again to get readers to pay for digital news. According to a Reuters report, New York Times namesake newspaper said on Thursday it will begin charging readers in Canada to access some of its content and will roll out a similar model in the United States and globally on March 28. However, in Nigeria, charging for online news remains elusive. The Punch also began an online version requiring payment, lasting less than a year before they scrapped it.
